Learn about Purple Martins: the largest members of the swallow family
There are ten Purple Martin nesting boxes installed at the old Oyster Plant. Join us on Saturdays this summer to enjoy Liberty Bay, watch these incredible birds & learn about our feathered neighbors!
Kitsap County has four colonies of purple martins; these birds travel from Central and South America each spring to raise their young before heading south again in late summer.
Meetings take place at Oyster Plant Park
Saturday mornings: 9:30-11:30am
