We loved hosting Hand-in-Hand story time walks for you and your little ones last year, and are thrilled to announce that we’ll be offering the series again, starting this Sunday, October 17!
Designed for 3, 4, and 5-year-olds, IslandWood’s Hand-in-Hand Nature Explorations series creates opportunities for little ones and their parents, grandparents, or caregivers to spend one-on-one time exploring, discovering, and making memories together.
This month, join one of our staff naturalists for a woodland walk celebrating the beauty of fall foliage! We’ll offer several hands-on activities for you and your little one to explore the science of the changing seasons, hunt for some creepy-crawlies, get crafting, and enjoy a cookie during story time in our Learning Treehouse.
Health & Safety:
To ensure the health and safety of our guests and staff, we are limiting registration to a maximum of 10 families for this event—20 adults and children in total. The one-to-one guardian to child ratio will help us ensure safe social distancing. We also ask that all guests wear masks and complete a health attestation form upon arrival.

We work to ensure that all reasonable accommodations are in place so that everyone can fully participate and learn during their time on our campus. All indoor spaces and many of our outdoor spaces and field structures were built and are continually maintained to meet ADA code, adhering to WAC 51-50.
